When you use CarFriend as a seller or dealer, we collect information you provide directly, including your name, phone number, email address, city/state, and vehicle details submitted during listing or self-inspection. Dealers additionally provide company and dealership license details. KYC verification (via our provider, Surepass) may involve Aadhaar, PAN, and vehicle registration data.
CarFriend never processes payment or RC transfer between a seller and a dealer — those happen directly between the two parties, off-platform. We do not sell your personal information to third parties.
We retain account and transaction data for as long as your account is active, and for a reasonable period afterward to meet legal, tax, and dispute-resolution obligations.
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data by contacting us at privacy@carfriend.in. We will respond within a reasonable timeframe as required by applicable law.
We use industry-standard safeguards, including encryption in transit and access controls, to protect your data. No system is completely secure, and we encourage you to use a strong, unique password.
We rely on trusted third parties to operate CarFriend, including AWS (hosting and storage), Razorpay (payments for dealer subscriptions), and Surepass (KYC and vehicle verification). Each is bound by its own privacy and security obligations.
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be notified through the app or by email.
