Refund Policy

1. General Policy

All bids placed on the CarFriend Platform are binding. Because auctions are time-critical transactions, refunds are only available in the specific circumstances described below.

2. Eligibility for Refund

A refund may be issued only in the following cases:

  • Auction Cancellation by CarFriend: If CarFriend cancels an auction due to a title dispute, fraud, or technical error, all bidder payments collected (if any) will be refunded in full within 5 business days.
  • Material Misrepresentation: If the vehicle's actual condition differs materially from the Inspection Report in a manner that was not discoverable by a reasonable inspection, the buyer may raise a dispute within 48 hours of vehicle handover. If CarFriend upholds the dispute, a partial or full refund may be issued.
  • Seller Default: If the Seller fails to transfer the vehicle after receiving payment, the buyer is entitled to a full refund of the purchase price.

3. Non-Refundable Scenarios

  • Change of mind after auction close
  • Issues with vehicle condition already documented in the Inspection Report
  • Delays in RC transfer (handled separately as a transfer dispute)
  • Inspection or platform fees once a service has been rendered

4. Refund Process

To initiate a refund claim, email support@carfriend.in with your auction ID, a description of the issue, and supporting evidence. CarFriend will respond within 3 business days and, if approved, process the refund within 5–7 business days to the original payment method.

5. Platform Fee Refunds

Platform fees are non-refundable once an auction has been conducted, except in cases of CarFriend error.
